Day 2: The Battle You Didn't Expect

Reading: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Devotional: Paul discovered a profound truth: sometimes our greatest battle isn't with our circumstances, our past, or our enemies—it's with God Himself, who refuses to let us stay the same. Like Paul's thorn in the flesh, God may not remove what He's actively using to transform you. This isn't cruelty; it's love. When Paul pleaded three times for relief, God's answer wasn't removal but grace: "My power is made perfect in weakness." Your weakness isn't disqualifying you—it's positioning you for God's power to be displayed. Stop fighting what God is using. The very thing you're begging Him to take away might be the instrument of your greatest transformation. Surrender isn't defeat; it's the pathway to divine strength.

Reflection Question: What are you asking God to remove that He might be using to strengthen your faith?
