Day 2: The Highest Goal

Reading: Matthew 22:36-40

Devotional: When Jesus was asked to identify the greatest commandment, he did not point to a rule, a ritual, or a religious practice. He pointed to love. Everything in Scripture — every law, every prophecy, every instruction — hangs on two things: loving God completely and loving people genuinely. This is not a suggestion tucked somewhere in the middle of the Bible. It is the foundation. The measure of your spiritual life is not how many sermons you have heard or how many verses you have memorized. It is whether love is getting into your priorities, your relationships, and your daily decisions.

Reflection: If love is the highest goal, what does your current daily life reveal about your priorities?

Application: Identify one relationship today where love has grown cold or routine. Choose one specific, intentional act of love toward that person before the day ends.
