Day 2: The Owner of Everything
Reading: Psalm 24:1-2
Devotional: Psalm 24 opens with a declaration that leaves no room for debate -- the earth belongs to the Lord, and so does everything in it. That includes your home, your income, your abilities, your relationships, and your time. We spend so much energy protecting what we have convinced ourselves we own. But if God is truly the owner of all things, then our role is not ownership -- it is stewardship. A steward manages what belongs to someone else. When you begin to see your life through that lens, the grip of fear and control begins to loosen.
Reflection: What areas of your life are you still treating as fully your own, unwilling to surrender to God's ownership?
Practical Application: Write down three things you consider "yours." Beside each one, write the words: "God, this belongs to you." Let that be a simple act of surrender today.
