Devotional: The apostle John urges his readers to consider the greatness of the love the Father has lavished on us, declaring that we can be called children of God -- and that is exactly what we are. Worth is determined by what someone is willing to pay. God paid everything. He did not find you worth dying for and then act. He acted in order to give you worth. That changes everything about how you see yourself. You are not a project God reluctantly took on. You are a treasure he intentionally pursued. Walk through today knowing that your identity is rooted not in your performance but in his sacrifice.
