Day 3: Love in Action
Reading: James 2:14-17; Galatians 6:2
Devotional: Faith without works is dead, and love without action is just noise. The church isn't meant to be a country club for the perfect but a hospital for the broken. When we truly love like Christ, we carry each other's burdens, confess our struggles, pray for one another, and show up in the messy moments. This means being genuine—dropping the facades and admitting we're all works in progress. It means caring when someone is hurting, celebrating when they're healed, and inviting those who feel alone into the family. Love protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. It doesn't show favoritism based on appearance, background, or status. Today, ask yourself: Am I loving with just words, or am I loving with action and truth? Real love gets its hands dirty and its heart involved.
Reflection Questions:
Who needs you to show up for them in a practical way this week?
What facades do you need to drop to be more genuine in your faith community?
