Day 3: When Disruption Is Actually Deployment
Reading: Acts 11:19-21 -- Those scattered by the persecution following Stephen's death traveled to new regions and began sharing the good news, and the Lord's hand was with them as great numbers believed and turned to him.
Devotional: The early believers did not choose to scatter. They were pushed out by pain and persecution. What looked like a disaster was actually God distributing his people to places they never would have gone on their own. The same is often true in your life. The disruption you are praying to escape may be the very thing God is using to position you for greater impact. The key detail in Acts 11 is not the scattering -- it is that the Lord's hand was with them when they arrived. God does not abandon you in the disruption. He meets you there and works through it.
Reflection: Is there a disruption in your life right now that you have only seen as a setback? How might God be using it to deploy you somewhere new?
Practical Application: Think of one difficult season from your past. Write down one way God used that season to grow you or redirect you. Use that memory to build trust in what he may be doing right now.
