Day 3: Wrestling to Clinging

Reading: Genesis 32:22-31

Devotional: Jacob spent over ninety years wrestling—with his brother, his circumstances, his father-in-law, and finally with God. But the transformative moment didn't come through his strength; it came through his surrender. When God touched Jacob's hip and weakened him, everything changed. Unable to fight anymore, Jacob could only cling. "I will not let you go unless you bless me." This is the shift from self-reliance to God-dependence. Sometimes God has to weaken you before He can bless you. Your limp—that weakness you despise—may become the testimony God uses. Faith isn't always fighting harder; sometimes it's refusing to let go of God when you have nothing left. Morning came for Jacob with a new name, a new identity, and a new future.

Reflection Question: Are you still fighting, or are you ready to cling?
