Day 4: Staying Connected to the Vine

Reading: John 15:5, 8 -- Jesus declares that apart from him we can do nothing, but those who remain in him will bear much fruit, and that bearing much fruit brings glory to the Father.

Devotional: Fruit is not the result of a branch trying harder. Fruit is the evidence that a branch is still connected. This is one of the most freeing truths in all of Scripture. God is not asking you to manufacture results through sheer effort and willpower. He is asking you to remain. Stay connected. Stay surrendered. Stay in the Word, in prayer, in community, and in worship. When you remain in him, fruit becomes the natural overflow of that connection. A busy church calendar and a full schedule of activities cannot replace the simple, daily act of abiding. Only what flows from genuine connection will produce lasting kingdom fruit.

Reflection: What does your daily rhythm of remaining in Christ actually look like right now? Is it consistent, or has it become something you fit in when convenient?

Practical Application: Choose one specific daily habit this week -- Scripture reading, prayer, or quiet reflection -- and commit to it at the same time each day. Treat it as non-negotiable.
