Day 4: The Danger of Buried Gifts
Reading: Matthew 25:14-30
Devotional: In the parable of the talents, the servant who buried what he was given did so out of fear. He knew his master was capable, but he did not trust the relationship enough to take a risk. Fear caused him to hide rather than steward. God has entrusted you with gifts, resources, time, and influence -- not so you could protect them, but so you could multiply them for his kingdom. Faithfulness is not passive. It is active, engaged, and willing to step out in trust. What has fear caused you to bury that God is calling you to uncover and use?
Reflection: Is there a gift, calling, or resource in your life that fear has caused you to hide or neglect?
Practical Application: Take one small step today toward using something God has placed in your hands. It does not have to be large. Faithfulness begins with a single step of obedience.
