Day 4: The Question That Changes Everything
Reading: Genesis 32:27-28; Ephesians 4:22-24
Devotional: "What is your name?" God asked Jacob in the darkness. Years earlier, Jacob had lied to his earthly father about his identity to steal a blessing. Now his Heavenly Father asked the same question—not because God didn't know, but because Jacob needed to face who he'd become. "Jacob," he answered—deceiver, manipulator, runner. Only when we honestly acknowledge who we are can God reveal who we're meant to be. "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel." Transformation requires truth-telling. You cannot become who God created you to be while pretending to be someone you're not. The night encounter forces this honesty. God is asking you today: What is your name? Face yourself truthfully, then let Him give you a new identity in Christ.
