Day 5: Grace Writes the Comeback Story

Reading: Matthew 1:1-6; Romans 5:20-21

Devotional: Here's the miracle of grace: Bathsheba, the woman at the center of David's greatest failure, appears in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. God took a story marked by adultery and murder and wove it into the lineage of the Savior. "Where sin increased, grace increased all the more." Your comeback story begins with one decision—to confess, to surrender, to let God recreate you. God doesn't waste our failures; He redeems them. Every comeback story in Scripture starts with someone who owned their failure and believed God could write something new. Today is your decision day. Will you let grace turn the page? Will you believe that God can create purpose from your pain, beauty from your ashes? Your greatest chapter may be ahead, not behind.

Reflection: What comeback story is God inviting me to begin today? Do I believe His grace is bigger than my failure?

Closing Prayer: God, I admit I'm not where I should be. Create in me a clean heart. Renew a right spirit within me. Don't cast me away from Your presence. Restore to me the joy of salvation and grant me a willing spirit to obey. I put the pen back in Your hand. Write my comeback story. In Jesus' name, Amen.
