Day 5: Seeking First His Kingdom

Reading: Matthew 6:33, Galatians 5:22-23

Devotional: Jesus offers a reordering of priorities that changes everything: seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will follow. This is not a formula for getting what you want. It is an invitation to become someone God can work through. The fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians -- including faithfulness -- does not grow through striving. It grows through surrender. When you put God's kingdom ahead of your fears, ahead of your plans, and ahead of your need for control, you create the conditions for the Holy Spirit to produce something beautiful in your life that you could never produce on your own.

Reflection: What would it look like in your daily life to genuinely seek God's kingdom before your own comfort, security, or agenda?

Practical Application: Begin each morning this week by praying one simple sentence before you check your phone, review your schedule, or plan your day: "God, your kingdom first. Show me what that means today."
