When Love Changes The Lens

Reading: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13; 1 John 4:7-12

Devotional: Without love, everything we do becomes meaningless noise. George went through the motions—helping people, building homes, running the business—but resentment poisoned his perspective. He couldn't see the beauty in what he had because he didn't truly love where he was. How many of us attend church, serve in ministries, even give generously, yet lack genuine love for God's family? We do what we're "supposed to do" while our hearts wander elsewhere. Christmas came because God loves His family that much—enough to send His Son through a humble birth, into poverty and pain, to restore what sin had broken. When we embrace this love, everything changes. Suddenly, the ordinary becomes extraordinary. The routine becomes sacred. The people around us transform from obligations into treasures. Today, ask God to replace your critical lens with one of love. Let love reshape how you see your life, your church, and your calling.
