When Jesus Walks Through Your Storm

Reading: Mark 6:45-52; Matthew 14:22-33

Devotional: After feeding five thousand, Jesus sent His disciples into a storm while He went to pray. He watched them struggle from the mountainside, then walked toward them on the water. Here's the mystery: He was about to pass them by. Jesus wasn't indifferent—He was stretching their faith. Sometimes God doesn't immediately rescue us because He's building spiritual muscle. Like physical muscles that grow through resistance, your faith strengthens through struggle. Jesus sees you in your storm. He's not absent; He's present in ways you might not recognize. Trust that He knows exactly when to intervene and when to let you grow stronger through endurance.

Reflection Question: Can you identify a time when God seemed distant but was actually strengthening your faith?
