Your Faith Is Worth More Than Gold
Reading: 1 Peter 1:6-7
Devotional: Gold is refined by fire, but your faith is worth more than gold. Peter writes that grief and trials come "so that your faith...may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." God isn't trying to break you; He's refining you. Every storm you weather with faith intact becomes a testimony of His faithfulness. Your struggle today is building a stronger tomorrow. Make up your mind: you're not going back to panic-driven prayers, to fear-based living, to weak faith. You're moving forward. In the storm, you will walk by faith, talk by faith, and trust that God's eyes are on you. Your testimony matters—others are watching how you handle the storm. Let them see genuine faith refined by fire.
Reflection Question: How has God refined your faith through past trials, and how can that encourage you today?
Closing Prayer
Father, I choose to trust You in every storm. Whether You calm it immediately, walk me through it, or invite me to step into the supernatural, I will not panic. Stretch my faith, refine my character, and help me greatly rejoice even in trials. My faith is not in my circumstances but in You—the God who never fails. In Jesus' name, Amen.
