Blind to the Signs
In Week 1 of our Relationship Goals series, we kicked things off with the story of Samson and Delilah (Judges 16)—a powerful reminder of how love, attraction, and emotions can sometimes blind us to the warning signs right in front of us.
We talked honestly about relationship struggles, the red flags we notice but choose to ignore, and how easy it is to excuse unhealthy patterns in the name of “love.” Samson didn’t fall because he was weak—he fell because he ignored wisdom.
The big truth we leaned into:
God is MORE concerned about who you are becoming than who you are dating.
Because the goal isn’t just finding the right person—it’s becoming the right person. And real relationship goals don’t ignore wisdom, compromise purpose, or pull us away from who God is shaping us to be.
This message set the foundation for learning how to recognize healthy relationships, avoid blind spots, and pursue God’s best in every season of life.
