Surviving the Wilderness: Faith Between Here and There
Nobody signs up for the wilderness—but sometimes God leads us right through it. Not to destroy us, but to prepare us for where He's taking us.
This Sunday, we explored how the Israelites journeyed from slavery to promise through 40 years of desert. The wilderness exposed what comfort concealed: their fear, their complaints, their selective memory of "the good old days" in Egypt. But here's the truth—the wilderness didn't defeat them. Their response to it did.
Are you in between "here" and "there" right now? Feeling the pressure, the squeeze, the discomfort? That's where God does His best work. He's not asking you to be comfortable—He's asking you to trust Him. Remember: pressure doesn't create character, it reveals it. And God is leading you even when the path is longer than you expected.
Don't lose faith at the edge of your promise. Your future isn't determined by what you're facing—it's determined by what you're focused on. God has never lost a battle, and He's not about to start with yours.
