"Me Second"

What if God is calling you to do something you have been avoiding? This Sunday, Pastor Tommy walked us through the story of Jonah and challenged us all with a simple but powerful idea: put yourself second.

Jonah was called to go to Nineveh, ran the other direction, and ended his story angry that God showed mercy to people he did not think deserved it. The book of Jonah ends without resolution. Pastor Tommy asked us a hard question: is that how we want our story to end?

God does not call us to be first. He calls us to turn around where we have been running, to go where He has been leading, and to love the people who are hardest to love. Sometimes that looks like walking across a room and handing someone two mints. Sometimes it changes everything.
